L'avaluació de la violència en televisió. Una perspectiva jurídica

Abstract

The author wonders to what degree violence on television directly influences people's conduct, their aggressiveness, the production of criminal acts, their social behaviour. Does television inevitably produce a more violent society? Many studies answer this question affirmatively, but others disagree, The fact is that, in any case, there is legislation about violence on television, and that legislation is an obligatory accessory. This article presents a brief review of the norms regarding the regulation ofmaterial shown on television, norms which an audiovisual council attempts to enforce.
