About the journal

THE JOURNAL
Tripodos is an academic journal with an international scope, published since 1996 by the School of Communication and International Relations at Blanquerna, Ramon Llull University.

FOCUS AND SCOPE
The pages of this publication provide a forum for debate and critical discussion on any discipline related to the field of communication, from journalism to audiovisual media, including public relations, digital and analog media, the Internet, and politics.

PUBLICATION FREQUENCY
The journal is published twice a year, although not always on the same dates. The first period usually falls in the spring months, while the second corresponds to the fall.

There are no specific publication dates for articles, but one will be released every two weeks following the publication of the first issue of the monograph.

"ONLINE FIRST" PUBLICATION SYSTEM AND FORMATS
Starting with issue 53 (2022), Tripodos has adopted a continuous publication model. This means that as soon as a manuscript is accepted for inclusion in an issue, it will be published under the "Online First" format. The full issue, including the introduction by the Guest Editors and the index, will be released once all articles have completed the peer review process. Typically, each issue includes between 7 and 9 articles.

Articles will be available in both PDF and HTML formats.

BILINGUAL EDITION
Starting with issue 57 (2025), Tripodos has begun implementing a bilingual publication policy. This means that all articles will include an abstract and keywords in English and a second language (Spanish or Catalan).
